SMD film chip capacitors sorting machine

Design, assembly and delivery of a complete machine for sorting SMD film chips. Chips are fed into the machine from its vibration bowl and linear vibration feeder. In the machine the chips are inserted into a rotating carousel where chips a sequentially charged, measured and discharged in individual positions. After passing all measuring positions in the carousel, chips are ejected and thrown into sorting boxes depending on faults during measurement or into a box for good parts. This instrument is based on the concept of the compact portable measuring system platform ENA500 which represents a new generation of multichannel measuring systems with embedded computers. The protection level is IP42. Signal connections are made using protective screw connectors AMPHENOL C16-1/3 with protection IP65. Design of mechanical and electronic components of an illumination ring. The light sources on the ring are high power LEDs. Control elements to control the light intensity and light direction are designed as microswithes located directly on the upper plate of the ring for the users convenience. Instruments-Side GPIB Interface Cards for Standalone Instrument

GPIB interface cards were designed for a new generation of power analyzers from LEM Instruments. Cards have the form of a plug-in card with internal bus connector on one side and the GPIB connector on the other side. The internal bus of the instrument is a 33 MHz, 32-bit bus. The main processor of the instrument is the Motorola Cold Fire. The card is designed as a 2 sided PCB. GPIB transfers are realized with a GPIB TNT488 ASIC from National Instruments. Instrument-Side USB+Ethernet Cards for Standalone Instrument

This card is built on the design of the already developed Ethernet+GPIB card. The card combines USB and Ethernet communication. Only one of the interfaces is active at a time. The USB part uses FTDI chip FT245B. The communication within the instrument is realized using UART interface and FPGA working as a state machine ensuring data transfers between FIFOs and the USB driver. Design of custom gear box for shear tester

The goal was to design a gear box for a unidirectional shear tester in a soil testing laboratory. The design was based on the design of an existing very old gear box. The gear box is driven by an asynchronous motor with a frequency converter. On the output of the gear box there are two linearly moving bars which move the frames holding the soil samples. The ratio of the gear box is approx. 1 rev/mm.

The purpose of the HSDL is to monitor the operation of two Low Density Polyethylene reactors. The HSDL acquires 140 voltage, current and thermocouple channels and 60 digital channels at a sampling rate 1 kHz per channel. Condenser Calorimeter

Design and manufacturing of measurement and control parts of car air conditioning condenser calorimeters. The hardware is based on National Instrument components: PXI, SCXI, Compact FieldPoint. The calorimeters software was developed in LabVIEW Real Time. The system processes approx. 300 digital and 40 analog inputs/outputs. The control loop period is 1 second, the sampling period of measured signals is 1 kHz. The control algorithm is based on labelled parameters of refrigerant media. This yields high precision of the control process.

Design and Manufacturing of custom hybrid ASIC prototypes

This tester is based on virtual instrumentation concept. The measuring instruments come from National Instruments, Agilent Technologies, Tektronix a Stanford Research Systems. Instruments are mounted into 19" rack. Tested unit connects to the tester via mass interconnect console from Virginia Panel Corp. The tester is using LabVIEW and TestStand development systems for test applications development. A concise self-test software routine has been developed as a part of delivery.

Design and Manufacturing of machine for testing contactor coils

This tester is based on virtual instrumentation concept. It's mechanical part serves to insert tested coils, move coils between individual testing positions, bend coil contacts and sort coils after testing. Winding withstand voltage test (HV surge generator 6 kV) and winding resistance tests are performed. Tester automation and measurement parts are built from National Instruments componets. The software application of the tester is written in LabVIEW. The tester is testing approx. 30 different types of coils.

Design and delivery of technology testing kits designed to perform routine tests before and after reconstruction of DC and AC electrical machines and transformers. For powering of the test machines DC voltage power sources up to 1 MW are installed, the AC voltage up to 3.5 MVA, including high and low voltage matching transformers and auxiliary booster. Technology testing is controlled from two sites from which it is possible to independently switch control of sources.
