Analysis, design, implementation, testing, and optimization of firmware sub-systems of a bench top measuring instrument. Routines for control of instrument’s display. Implementation of SCPI commands interpreter (remote control of the instrument). Implementation of hardware drivers (keyboard, flash memory, GPIB (IEEE 488), Ethernet, TCP/IP). Firmware module for printer output (print languages PCL and Epson). Firmware module for firmware upgrade. Development of libraries and tools for testing and debugging of the instrument’s firmware on PC/Windows. Target CPU and OS: Motorola ColdFire, Precise/MQX. Developed in ANSI C with compiler and debugger Diab-Data and Microsoft Visual C++.
