Compliance with these standards is certified by the external company BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION CZ, s.r.o. All technical development, designing and production are subject to strict environmental criteria with the utmost effort to reduce the safety risks and environmental impacts of our products.
We guarantee the maximum efficiency in the cost and performance of managing the entire order process from design to complete implementation. We implement projects completely in-house in accordance with our own integrated process management policy.

The ELCOM company was founded in 1990. Its founders were Ing. Jiří Holoubek a Ing. Vladimír Korenc. The original intention of both engineers was to create an Engineering and Consulting Centre in the field of heavy current electrical engineering, specialized in the field of reactive power compensation, electromagnetic compatibility and optimization of electricity consumption.
The high demand of industry for quality services and mainly for products in this field, created the basis for the gradual expansion of the company to other areas.
In 1992, the company's activities were expanded to include AC controlled drives and special electric motors, and the company also began to carry out its own electrical installations, and in the same year it began its own workshop production in rented premises in MEZ Nedvědice.
In 1993 the company created a design office at a newly established workplace in Ostrava. At that time, the company had already covered four locations on the map of the Czech Republic, namely in Prague, Brno, Nedvědice and Ostrava.
In 1996, the conditions were created to transform the original limited liability company into a joint stock company.
The successful project of the BK500 Energy Interference Analyzer was the basis for cooperation with the Department of Measurement at TU VŠB FEI in Ostrava. This cooperation resulted in the establishment of a major Virtual Instrumentation Division in 1997, where the BK project has been successfully developing to this day.
The year 1998 was marked by the purchase of a factory in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, where the complete electrical production of the company was concentrated.
In 2000, the structure of the corporation stabilized in five divisions with approximately 150 employees.
In 2018, a new shareholder, CENTRAL EUROPE INDUSTRY PARTNERS, a.s., an investment company, investing in industrial companies to assist in their development, joined ELCOM, a. s.
In 2019, ELCOM, a. s. expanded its activities to include industrial automation. This meant expanding our team to include experts in production lines, single-purpose machines and robotics. Furthermore, ELCOM, a. s. financially joined RH-Tech s.r.o., a company focused on automation and robotization of production processes.
In 2020, ELCOM, a. s. established a subsidiary company Eltia s.r.o., in which it holds a 100% stake. Eltia is engaged in the supply of production lines and single-purpose machines. A large part of our projects consists of robotic applications.
The company's headquarters are in Prague, with technical branches in Brno, Bystřice nad Pernštejnem and Ostrava. In 2022, ELCOM, a. s. scored a significant international success. It managed to acquire Applied Precision, a Slovak company dedicated to measurement and testing. The closed acquisition will significantly strengthen the position of ELCOM, a. s. in the energy industry.
We provide first-class solutions in the field of electrical engineering, whether produced in series or custom-made. Our services are used by engineers and technicians of individual companies as well as national transmission system operators in the Czech Republic and abroad.
